Bob Egan - Lonesome Destiny - At only 22 minutes in length, this disc by Blue Rodeo’s utility whiz and former Wilco member leaves you wanting more. Lilotte leads off the album in a kind of Gordon Lightfoot 70's Summer Side Of Life vibe. However it’s the next track Sarah’s Song with a melody very reminiscent of the 60's hit Walk Away Renee that absolutely sparkles. Elsewhere Enter The Desert is an open tuning instrumental with mid-eastern feel while Muddy Water finds Egan going heavy duty on his lap steel down in the Mississippi mud.
